Rev. & Mrs. F. L. Ashley
In the small oilfield town of Tullos, Louisiana, where saloons occupied a big portion of the one little street, F. L. Ashley and Dianne Maxey began their wedded life of togetherness. The date was June 26, 1964.
For approximately 16 months they served as Youth Pastor in the Tullos United Pentecostal Church. In 1965 they were introduced to parenthood when their first child, Tonya LaTaine was born. It was also, during this time that F. L. & Dianne accepted the pastorate of the Jordan Hill United Pentecostal Church.
They served there for approximately 4 years. While there in 1968, their second child, DeWaun Lee was born.
Shortly after, the little Ashley Family moved to Houston, Texas where Bro. Ashley attended and graduated from Texas Bible College. During this time, while attending college, they also were pastoring the Rosenberg United Pentecostal Church.
In 1971 they moved to Mineral Wells, Texas where they pastored for approximately 5 years.
It was in 1976 that the Cleburne, Texas United Pentecostal Church voted for the Ashley Family to come and serve as their pastor and family.
So, for the past 33 years, their heart beat has been souls for the kingdom of God in Cleburne, Texas.
F. L. & Dianne Ashley, along with their daughter and son and now son-in-law, daughter-in-law and 3 grandsons all as a family are still striving to see sons and daughters born into the kingdom of God in Cleburne, Texas.
